Grade 10 students Yehuda Bessner, Nathan Benizri, Shalom Zobin, Elie Benizri, Joelle Cons, Sarah Azoulay, Leah Elkaim, Ariella Abenhaim,  Arielle Rohr and Leora Feld, chaperoned by High School Principal Dr. Laura Segall, are eagerly looking forward to the spring, when they will participate in the Jerusalem Marathon in support of Shalva, the Association for Mentally and Physically Challenged Children in Israel. The non-denominational organization provides programming and high quality care to children with disabilities while empowering their families and advocating for social inclusion. Every year, almost 500 Team Shalva runners travel to Israel to participate in the Jerusalem Marathon on the organization’s behalf. Hebrew Academy is the first and only Montreal school to participate in this incredible initiative!

This year’s marathon takes place on March 17 and the students will be holding in-school fundraisers to meet their fundraising objectives. Please click here to learn more about Shalva and here to sponsor one of our  HA Heat Shalva Team members.
