Creative and productive utilization of technology is fully integrated in the curriculum of each and every subject from Kindergarten through the High School grades. From Chromebooks and iPads to SMART Boards, from Google Apps for Education and digital citizenship to visual tools and a full-fledged robotics program which introduces students to visual interface coding, problem solving and the fundamentals of programming — our students are exposed on a daily basis to the best practices of educational technology.
A crucial and unique aspect of technology education at Hebrew Academy is an Information Literacy Program for all Elementary and High School classes. Beginning with our youngest students, we teach students not only digital citizenship — online etiquette and safety and prevention of cyber-bullying — but also effective online research skills and how to evaluate the validity of online information. Students are taught increasingly sophisticated approaches to research, searching tips, bibliographic organization, source evaluation and proper citation.
