Grade 6 came down with Election Fever last week with their English teachers, Mrs. Sheri Gray and Ms. Lauren Thurber. Connecting back to their year-long inquiry on what it means to care, the students reflected on their values, respectfully debated and researched the different political parties to form educated opinions. They even shared their research with their peers! After learning about the voting process, they submitted their ballot as part of the cross-country Student Vote with select students chosen to play the role of Poll Monitor. Following the election, 6C used their Math skills to graph and compare the results. The whole week was a huge success according to both the students and their teachers!
