The students in Grade 5B recently engaged in an energetic debate on the pros and cons of extending the school year. Debating is an excellent exercise in critical thinking and communication. These skills are useful both inside and outside of the classroom setting, and will be put to use throughout students’ lifetimes. The results of the debate may surprise you… the arguments offered by the “Pro Side” were highly convincing!
