HEBREW LANGUAGE / SAFA IVRIT TEACHER 

We are seeking a Hebrew Language / Safa Ivrit teacher for our High School.

  • The ideal candidate will be fluent in Hebrew at the level of a native speaker and capable of producing and delivering engaging, student-centered and developmentally appropriate lessons.
  • The successful candidate will use various methods and materials to engage students and enhance their learning experience.
  • Responsibilities include planning lessons, learning our current Safa program and providing feedback for future curriculum design, and fostering a supportive atmosphere of language acquisition.
  • Strong communication skills, a passion for teaching and being a team player are essential for the role. Prior teaching experience is a plus.
  • Only those with Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Resident status or an active and appropriate Canadian work visa to work with students in school will be considered.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION ASSISTANT

 

Overview:

If you are seeking a dynamic team environment that encourages collaboration, open communication, and a positivity, consider joining The Hebrew Academy Marketing and Communications team. As a Marketing and Communications Assistant, you will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Director on a variety of projects, contributing to internal and external communications, content design, and social media management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project plan, create, and coordinate communications for consistent messaging and timely distribution.
  • Collaborate with multiple team members to produce quality content for daily communications, weekly newsletters and social media.
  • Photograph daily school events, maintain photo/video galleries, and upload content to social platforms.
  • Update the school website and ensure consistent design and language standards in publications and forms.
  • Assist in editing and writing content for the website, communications, the school magazine, and various publications.
  • Coordinate and produce the school’s weekly newsletter for parents.
  • Manage and develop daily content for the school’s social media channels

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize graphic and visual images/templates for communication materials, including event promotion and campaigns.
  • Support the communications team with high-impact pictures and videos for campaign-oriented materials.
  • Document school life through photos and videos, vetting, sorting, and archiving images for future use.
  • Create digital video content for use on social media and other platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Completion or in progress of completing a post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Excellent organization, planning, time management, and project leadership skills
  • Proficiency in design software (static and videos) and computer applications (Microsoft Office, Constant Contact and Canva)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • Ability to manage competing tasks, maintain attention to detail, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hard-working, energetic, and adaptable to new challenges.
