High School

Hebrew Academy’s diverse academic offerings are complemented by a rich and fulfilling supplementary education where students may follow enriched programs in Mathematics, Calculus, Science, French, English and Talmud.  In addition, Secondary V students can opt for a Science or Social Science stream following courses in Physics and Chemistry or Business, Law, Economics or Creative Writing.  This has allowed our graduates to consistently appear on dean’s lists and regularly receive grants, awards, and scholarships at the post-secondary institutions of their choice.

Each year students proudly participate in public speaking competitions in French and English, physics tournaments, science fairs, and the Model United Nations. Our students also develop leadership skills through their involvement in community Chessed initiatives, regularly volunteering for organizations like MADA and Friendship Circle.

A number of our students are inducted into the National Honour Society annually. The NHS is a prestigious prize reserved for those who demonstrate the values of Midot Tovot, honesty, integrity and leadership.

The Judaic Studies department provides a rigorous Limudei Kodesh program which is further enriched by our onsite Kollel Torah Mitzion. Israeli Shlichim add to the ruach of the school environment by leading shabbatonim, Shabbat onegs and inspiring, interactive learning programs.

Our students take part in a broad range of extra-curricular activities, including our annual boys’ talent show, girls’ production, Colour War,  GMAA basketball tournaments, soccer, hockey, tennis and cross-country running.

Hebrew Academy graduates emerge with the skills and confidence needed to begin the next phase of their lives. Our alumni frequently – and gratefully – reflect on the integral role that Hebrew Academy played in their current successes as worldly, professional, Bnei Torah, in a broader society that welcomes their leadership and contributions.
